THE INTERSECTION OF PANCHA-KARMA AND NIRVISHIKARANA: A CRITICAL ANALYSIS
Through their diet and environmental contamination of the air, water, and soil, humans are continuously exposed to potentially harmful environmental pollutants. Because the majority of these poisons are fat soluble and have a limited excretory capability, the human body is unable to eliminate them. As a result, these toxins accumulate over time in different body tissues, which can have detrimental effects on health, including cancer. The Ayurvedic idea of Dushi Visha is comparable to the build-up of environmental poisons over time. It is reported that this Dushi Visha interacts with kapha, producing negative health effects. Panchakarma therapy (detoxification therapy) for Shodhan is the sole treatment method for eliminating harmful pollutants from the environment. Panchakarma therapy helps the body detoxify and returns to normal. The purpose of this review research paper is to validate previous findings in this area and establish Panchakarma therapy as the only detoxification treatment necessary to maintain human health.
